ABOUT
Caroline Wettergreen er en av Norges mest ettertraktede sangere. Hun debuterte ved Den Norske Opera&Ballett i 2010, og jobber regelmessig ved operahus i Europa. De siste årene har hun debutert ved Komische Oper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper München, Royal Opera House Covent Garden og Glyndebourne Opera Festival. Caroline har studert ved Norges Musikkhøgskole i Oslo og Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium i København. I 2018 mottok Caroline det pretisjetunge Equinor Klassisk Musikkstipend.

Enlightenment took spectral form as Caroline Wettergreen illuminated the stage with a dazzling display of singing. In Massenet’s stratospheric notation her Fairy character is less a Godmother than a Queen of the Night, and the young Norwegian pinged a magical coloratura with preternatural accuracy. Indeed, the fast-rising (in every sense of the term) soprano outshone all her colleagues on opening night.

NEWS
24/25 brings an exciting season of many debuts for Caroline. Firstly, Caroline can be seen in a new production of Manfred Trojahn's "Orest", directed by Kasper Holten at the Royal Danish Opera. She will also sing the world premiere of Miroslav Srnka's new opera "The Voice Killer" at Theater an der Wien.
Furthermore, she will debut Zerbinetta at Opera de Rouen Normandie, conducted by Ben Glassberg, aswell as Olympia at Staatsoper Hamburg, conducted by Kent Nagano.
She will also revisit the iconic Everding-production of "Die Zauberflöte" at Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
